The Project AgGrad Committee has selected our next AgGrad student: Zerfu Bazie from Ethiopia. Zerfu is currently working as an associate researcher at the Gondor Agriculture Research Center. He is especially interested in climate smart nutrient management, an approach that aims to optimize the use of fertilizers and other inputs to enhance crop productivity, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and adapt to climate change. His goal is to obtain a PhD in soil science. Although he originally planned to arrive in January 2025 to begin his studies, he is currently experiencing a delay in the Visa application process. We anticipate he will be able to start his studies in the Fall semester.
